The video game software sales are coming as the biggest sales in the markets of United States, The United kingdom and Japan has experienced 11 percent growth in calendar year 2008. According to an industrial survey we come to know that there was a drop of 13 percent in sales in Japan. On the other hand, if we check the NPD Group, Gfk Chart-Track Limited and Enterbrain we can easily consider that nearly 410 million units were sold across the three markets in 2008 which was more than in 2007.

The survey cleared that United States and the U.K. increased 15 and 26 percent respectively. The Japanese market is sinking in software market. The top selling titles were Mario-Kart Wii from Nintendo, The Nintendo Wii Fit, and Grand Theft Auto IV from Take 2 Interactive.
